Tajik and Uzbek Border Troops Discuss Strengthening Cooperation
DUSHANBE, 12.11.2019 (NIAT Khovar) – The Commander of the Border Troops of the State Committee for National Security of Tajikistan Rajabali Rahmonali met with his Uzbek counterpart Ruslan Mirzaev on November 10 at the Dusti checkpoint in Tursunzoda.
The meeting focused on the issues relating to further development and improvement of good neighborly relations, expansion of fruitful cooperation in the field of state border protection between the border authorities of the two states, reported the Press Center of the Tajik Border Troops.
The parties also touched upon cooperation in border areas in the fight against arms trafficking, terrorism, extremism, disclosure and prevention of drug trafficking, the activities of cross-border criminal groups, illegal migration and other important issues.
