Women’s Contribution to the Folk Crafts Development Discussed in Bokhtar
DUSHANBE, 30.11.2019 (NIAT Khovar) – Women’s Contribution to the Folk Crafts Development conference was held on November 28 in Bokhtar, Khatlon Province. An exhibition of artisan products was organized before the opening of the meeting.
Khatlon Chairman Kubon Hakimzoda, head of the Regional Department for Women and Family Affairs Rano Rahimzoda, women entrepreneurs, heads of various organizations of cities and districts participated in the conference.
“President Emomali Rahmon declared 2019-2021 as the Years of Rural Development, Tourism and Folk Crafts, which will undoubtedly contribute to the development of tourism and support folk crafts,” said Hakizoda.
Hakimzoda also spoke about the importance of increasing the role of women in the development of the state and society, and reminded those present that 20 years ago Tajikistan adopted the Law “On Increasing the Role of Women in Society.”
Representatives of regional departments of education and science, culture, law enforcement agencies as well as entrepreneurs also gave their input.
During a ceremony, Hakimzoda awarded diplomas and gifts to the winners of the regional contest “Successful Entrepreneur.”
The winners were women entrepreneurs from provincial cities and districts. They were awarded grants from 8,000 through 20,000 Tajik somoni.
The conference ended with a concert program.
