DUSHANBE, 03.12.2019 (NIAT Khovar) – Today, the President of Uzbekistan Shavkat Mirziyoyev received the Chairman of Dushanbe Rustam Emomali, who is on an official visit in Tashkent.

President Mirziyoyev spoke about the dynamic development of the Uzbek-Tajik relations of friendship and good neighborliness in recent years.
He emphasized that due to the political will of the leaders of the two fraternal countries, the bilateral multifaceted cooperation has seen a qualitative breakthrough, and strategic partnership has been secured between the two nations.

Chairman Emomali, thanked President Mirziyoyev for the reception and conveyed President Emomali Rahmon’s greetings and best wishes.

The meeting also focused on practical aspects of enhancing the mutually advantageous interaction between Dushanbe and Tashkent.

Particular attention was placed on the establishment of a regular dialogue in such areas as exchange of practice in urban development and infrastructure advancement, implementation of joint projects and cultural and humanitarian cooperation programs.
