Relations Between Dushanbe and Tashkent Reach a New Level
DUSHANBE, 03.12.2019 (NIAT Khovar) – Today, the Chairman of Dushanbe Rustam Emomali met with the Mayor of Tashkent Jahongir Artikhodjaev to discuss furthering the bilateral cooperation between the two cities.
While noting the centuries-old friendly and neighborly relations of the Uzbek and Tajik people, the similar culture, customs and traditions, a single religion that tightly connects the population of the two countries, Artikhodjaev expressed his readiness to comprehensively develop bilateral relations between Dushanbe and Tashkent.
Expressing his gratitude for the warm welcome, Rustam Emomali mentioned that next year the Days of Tashkent and a youth forum are planned to take place in Dushanbe.
An agreement on implementing an action plan in the trade, economic, cultural and humanitarian spheres between Dushanbe and Tashkent for 2020-2021 was signed following the meeting.
