48 Tajik Citizens Are in the Epicenter of the Coronavirus Outbreak
DUSHANBE, 28.01.2020. (NIAT Khovar) – Forty eight Tajik citizens are currently in Wuhan, reports the Tajik Embassy in China.
All of them are university students.
Currently none of them are infected or suspected of being infected with the new virus. The Chinese authorities have been doing everything possible to prevent the spread of the disease, including by locking down the city by placing travel restriction beginning on January 23. However, before the restriction had been placed, approximately five million people had already fled the city.
The Tajik Embassy is in close contact with Chinese government agencies, as well as with Tajik citizens, providing them with the necessary assistance within the framework of existing powers.
