Inebriated Man Detonates a Hand Grenade in Dushanbe
DUSHANBE, 15.01.2020. (NIAT Khovar) – While under the influence of alcohol Ivan Mezentsev detonated a hand grenade yesterday at 16:30 local time at the entrance of his house in Dushanbe, reports the Press Center of the Tajik Ministry of Internal Affairs.
The investigation found that the 33-year-old man had illegally kept a grenade at his place of residence.
“A drunk man took a grenade with him, which exploded right in his hands when he was at the entrance of his house. Mezentsev was taken to the hospital, but died due to the resulting severe injuries,” noted the report.
The operational investigative group is currently establishing all the circumstances surrounding the incident.
