Dushanbe Chairman Meets with World Bank Country Manager for Tajikistan
DUSHANBE, 05.02.2020. (NIAT Khovar) – Today, Dushanbe Chairman Rustam Emomali met with the World Bank Country Manager for Tajikistan Jan-Peter Olters.
The meeting focused on the current state and prospects of cooperation between Dushanbe and the World Bank, reports the Department of Public Information and External Affairs of the Chairman’s Office.
The parties also discussed the construction of a new Dushanbe Water Supply Project, which will be implemented for 2020-2024, the construction of a new irrigation and water treatment facility with a capacity of 500 thousand cubic meters per day and the construction of the Varzob water treatment facility.
Following the meeting, both parties expressed their willingness to continue cooperation in water supply and irrigation systems as well as to launch new joint projects in Dushanbe.
