Over 13,000 Copies of WHO’s COVID-19 Prevention Guidelines Distributed in Tajikistan
DUSHANBE, 17.02.2020. (NIAT Khovar) – The Ministry of Health and Social Protection of the Population of Tajikistan published and distributed 13,000 copies of WHO guidelines and recommendations in an effort to reduce the risk of the new coronavirus disease (COVID-19).
This measure is aimed at increasing public awareness about this disease and observation of sanitary and hygienic rules to prevent it, reports the Ministry of Health and Social Protection of the Population.
The ministry also strengthened its control over all of the country’s checkpoints and international airports to prevent COVID-19 and is working round the clock in this direction.
Over 900 citizens who have been returned from China earlier are currently under control of doctors at various infectious diseases hospitals. Recently, 87 of those under quarantine were released. To date, no coronavirus case has been confirmed among them.
