COVID-19 Not the Cause of Death of City Prosecutor
DUSHANBE, 21.04.2020. (NIAT Khovar) – The head of the police surveillance department of the Dushanbe Prosecutor Office Jaloliddin Abdujabborzoda died of influenza A (H1N1) and bilateral pneumonia. He had not tested positive for the coronavirus, reports the Ministry of Health and Social Protection of the Population of Tajikistan.
Abdujabborzoda was hospitalized on April 15 at the Dushanbe Children’s Tuberculosis Hospital, then on April 16, due to a sharp deterioration in his health, he was transferred to the City Infectious Diseases Clinic, where he was diagnosed with bilateral pneumonia, influenza A and 3rd degree obesity.
Unfortunately, the ventilation apparatus and other additional measures taken by doctors did not yield positive results. Abdujabborzoda died on April 19.
Abdujabborzoda was tested for the coronavirus, but the results proved negative.
All Abdujabborzoda’s relatives and friends are now under quarantine. Their condition is satisfactory.
It should be noted that the number of deaths of citizens from pneumonia has increased not only in Tajikistan, but in other countries too. According to experts, pneumonia does not pass from person to person.
From February 1 through April 20, 8,212 citizens who had entered Tajikistan from foreign countries have been quarantined at the country’s healthcare institutions and sanatoriums. Of those, 7,129 have been discharged and 1,083 individuals are still under quarantine.
