Dushanbe Closes All Big Markets for 10 Days
DUSHANBE, 29.04.2020. (NIAT Khovar) – Dushanbe Chairman’s Office has decided to close all big markets from April 30 through May 10 and completely suspended their activities in order to protect the health residents and guests, as well as to prevent the coronavirus infection. The markets will be disinfected during these days.
Relevant municipal bodies are obliged to carry out decontamination and disinfection works in collaboration with the heads of all markets during this period, reported the Department of Public Information and External Affairs of the Chairman’s Office.
Food markets will remain open.
According to the Ministry of Health and Social Protection of the Population of Tajikistan, to date, no cases of coronavirus infection have been confirmed in the country. Nevertheless, the republican commission and relevant officials are constantly strengthening measures to prevent the transmission and spread of this virus in the country.
