45 Tajik Citizens Return from India
DUSHANBE, 28.05.2020. (NIAT Khovar) – Yesterday, in collaboration with the relevant Indian authorities, 45 Tajik citizens who were stranded due to the cancellation of international flights resulting from the COVID-19 pandemic have been repatriated to Dushanbe.
They were brought by a special Air India flight from Delhi.
Per President Emomali Rahmon’s instructions, a decision was made to implement a plan for the phased return of citizens who were abroad when the borders were closed.
The process of returning citizens will depend on the creation of the necessary conditions, including the availability of appropriate places for quarantine and medical monitoring.
The republican commission assures Tajik citizens that, despite many unprecedented difficulties, all the required measures will be implemented to maintain the health and safety of citizens both at home and abroad.
