Dushanbe Chairman Addresses Residents About COVID-19 Prevention
DUSHANBE, 02.05.2020. (NIAT Khovar) – Yesterday, Dushanbe Chairman, Speaker of the National Assembly Rustam Emomali addressed capital’s residents.
He noted that there is a Permanent Commission for the prevention of infectious diseases in Dushanbe, and all necessary measures have been taken in regards to combating the spread of COVID-19.
“The necessary volumes of food supplies, vital products and medicines are stocked up for the city’s population. The stable activity of all capital markets and shopping centers, hospitals, clinics, medical centers and other social and cultural infrastructure is under the control of the said commission,” he said.
“All hospitals and clinics are equipped with the necessary equipment, doctors and nurses are ready to provide urgent care in a timely manner and provide necessary advice to everyone who requests it,” said Rustam Emomali.
Additionally, he emphasized that family doctors have been instructed to make house calls.

“The capital leadership will direct all opportunities and resources to create favorable conditions for the residents and will take all security measures to protect the health of every inhabitant,” he continued.
Dushanbe Chairman also expressed his gratitude to all the doctors, employees and maintenance staff of hospitals, polyclinics, state and private medical centers for their selfless activity.
Rustam Emomali also emphasized the need to take the appeals of capital’s residents with all seriousness and responsibility, to treat them politely and not to forget about the true mission of those involved in medicine- serving the people.
Following his address, he urged residents not to believe in various rumors and conjectures, to show restraint and have a sense of certainty that we can overcome this disease as soon as possible with joint effort and will direct all our capabilities and potential in the name of developing our capital and providing an even better life for its inhabitants.
