DUSHANBE, 11.05.2020. (NIAT Khovar) – Khatlon Province Chairman’s Office has decided to supplement the salaries of hospital workers. They will be paying 500 somoni for doctors, 400 somoni for mid-level medical staff and 300 somoni for service personnel of medical institutions.

Also, per Khatlon Chairman Kurbon Hakimzoda’s instruction, 300 doctors, mid-level medical staff, service personnel and those involved in the fight against the COVID-19 pandemic in Bokhtar and Kulob were provided with food.

The assistance is aimed at providing social support to health care workers who are treating patients with the coronavirus infections and pneumonia.

Hakimzoda also instructed the chairmen of provincial cities and districts to use all available resources and opportunities to take immediate measures to ensure that the medical workers receive their monthly salaries, as well as additional cash benefits and other support in a timely manner.

Hundreds of doctors and nurses from the Buri Vohidov Regional Clinical Hospital in Bokhtar were also provided with food supplies, such as flour, rice, butter, potatoes and onions.
Over 5.3 million somoni has been allocated from the budget, special funds, free balance and surplus income of cities and districts of Khatlon province to go toward measures aimed at preventing the transmission and spread of COVID-19.
