National Bank of Tajikistan Assists Medical Workers Fighting COVID-19
DUSHANBE, 07.05.2020. (NIAT Khovar) – The leadership and employees of the National Bank of Tajikistan (NBT) have transferred 375,524 somoni by donating their salaries to a special account created to assist in the fight against COVID-19.
In appreciation of the effort of health workers and the importance of their effective work in tackling this infectious disease, the NBT has also transferred 150,000 somoni to a special account of the Treasury Department of the Ministry of Finance.
The bank has also purchased medication, antiseptics and special protective clothing for medical workers for the amount of 44,880 somoni. The purchased items have been handed over to the Ministry of Health and Social Protection of the Population.
