Sughd Chairman: Incidence of COVID-19 Infection Decreasing Daily
DUSHANBE, 21.05.2020. (NIAT Khovar) – Yesterday, the head of the group of Uzbek doctors Nematjon Ibragimov, who is currently in Sughd, at the meating with the region’s Chairman Rajabboy Ahmadzoda said that with such experienced local doctors, the spread of COVID-19 will be completely curbed in the near future.
Ibragimov also noted that for two days he and his Tajik colleagues worked in regional hospitals and exchanged experiences.
“Region’s medical workers have been provided with all the requirements for the treatment of residents. Doctors are fully provided with medications, protective clothing, and antiseptics. As a result of round-the-clock work of Tajik doctors, today the incidence of this disease in the region is decreasing on a daily basis,” added Ahmadzoda.
A group of Uzbek doctors consisting of four specialists, including epidemiologists, virologists and resuscitators visited Sughd region to support and share medical experience in tackling the COVID-19 pandemic.
