DUSHANBE, 20.05.2020. (NIAT Khovar) – Today, there are 204 new COVID-19 cases. The total number of infected individuals now stands at 2140. The number of those who could not recover remains unchanged at forty-one, reports the Ministry of Health and Social Protection of the Population.

Of the infected group, 470 individuals have recovered.

So far, 3,552 people suspected of having the virus have undergone medical supervision.

The government and the Ministry of Health are continually implementing measures to curb the spread of the virus, including by temporarily closing non-essential businesses, but caution is urged. The public is told to forgo unnecessary trips to other cities and regions, and if possible, to remain at home.

The Health Ministry urges all the residents to strictly follow the rules of personal hygiene, wear protective masks, keep a distance of at least 1.5 meters between one another, and in case of onset of symptoms to immediately consult a family doctor or call the hotlines (311 or 511) to consult with a specialist.
