Chairman of Kulob Detained by State Committee for National Security
DUSHANBE, 08.06.2020. (NIAT Khovar) – Today, the State Committee for National Security (SCNS) detained the Chairman of Kulob Bahrom Inoyatzoda for corruption-related crimes, reports the SCNS Press Center.
Earlier, on May 27, Inoyatzoda’s service driver Khursandali Khurramov and on June 3, the head of his reception Firuz Kurbonov were arrested on charges of fraud.
During the preliminary investigation, Khurramov and Kurbonov testified that they had acted on Inoyatzoda’s instructions.
Additionally, several complaints had been recieved from Kulob residents implicating Inoyatzoda in corruption. During the inspection, the victims’ statements were confirmed.
The SCNS in collaboration with the Prosecutor General’s Office has filed a criminal case against Inoyatzoda. A preliminary investigation is underway.
