Amonatbank Chairman and IMF Delegation Discuss the Impact of Coronavirus on the Banking System of Tajikistan

DUSHANBE, 07.09.2020. (NIAT Khovar) – The Chairman of Amonatbank State Savings Bank Sirojiddin Ikromi held an online meeting with a delegation of the International Monetary Fund (IMF) led by Padamji Khandelwal, which focused on the negative impact of the COVID-19 pandemic on the banking sector of Tajikistan.
While considering the changing economic system in the world, the parties discussed the development of bilateral cooperation in order to prevent a negative impact on the activities of Amonatbank.
They also discussed the issues relating to the negative impact of COVID-19 on banking, the state of capital and solvency, assets, an action plan to strengthen risk management, the activities of National Cards in the development of cashless payments, the state of lending, and the use of the Credit Bureau.

Ikromi expressed Amonatbank’s constant readiness to expand cooperation with the IMF in various areas to eliminate negative consequences for the economy and search for alternative ways.
