People’s Democratic Party Nominates Emomali Rahmon to Presidential Post

DUSHANBE, 03.09.2020. (NIAT Khovar) – Today, the People’s Democratic Party of Tajikistan (PDPT) held its 14th Congress.
Director of Boarding School №3 for Children with Disabilities in Dushanbe Zubaida Sharipova nominated the party’s Chairman Emomali Rahmon to the presidential post, which was unanimously supported by all delegates, reports Chief of the PDPT Office Abdurahmon Khonov.
The First Deputy Chairman of the PDPT Abdujabbor Azizi said that all the indicators of the program of the presidential candidate for seven years in 2013 have been fulfilled.
It was noted that the candidate for presidential post from the PDPT will enter the elections with a new program that covers all areas of the national economy and important issues of social development.
The PDPT has more than 494,000 members. Of these, 48% are women and 37% are young people.
