DUSHANBE, 18.02.2021 (NIAT Khovar) – Yesterday, the Secretary of the Security Council Nasrullo Mahmudzoda met with the Secretary General of the Collective Security Treaty Organization (CSTO) Stanislav Zas who is in Dushanbe on a working trip.
The meeting focused on issues relating to cooperation between the CSTO Secretariat and the Secretariat of the Security Council of Tajikistan, including in the field of military cooperation, strengthening of borders, the current situation in Afghanistan, the fight against illicit drugs, cybercrime, additional professional training of specialists of the relevant bodies, and other issues of regional security.
It was decided to continue to strengthen cooperation within the framework of the statutory provisions of the organization.
Also, the parties exchanged views on Tajikistan’s presidency in the CSTO, organization and conduct of events during the country’s presidency, including the preparation and holding of a meeting of the Committee of Secretaries of CSTO Security Councils in Dushanbe.
Following the meeting, they agreed to jointly prepare and implement these events.
