CSTO Countries Intend to Deepen Interstate Information Сooperation

DUSHANBE, 04.03.2021 (NIAT Khovar) – Representatives of the countries of the Collective Security Treaty Organization (CSTO) discussed the plans to increase interstate information interaction.
“The purpose of the collection is to improve information interaction between the CSTO Crisis Response Center and the national bodies authorized to interact with it,” said the Chief of the CSTO Joint Staff Anatoly Sidorov.
The meeting participants discussed topical issues of the crisis response system and outlined the main directions for improving information interaction in the CSTO format. A joint training with the defense departments of states that are in the same region of collective security are planned to be held this year.
The participants heard reports on the organization of information interaction between the Russian Defense Ministry and federal authorities, on decision-making within the CSTO in response to crisis situations, on the experience of coordinating the CIS border troops, as well as on the organization of information interaction in the event of a threat or emergencies in the CSTO countries.
The event was attended by representatives of the CSTO Joint Staff and Secretariat, the Russian Ministry of Defense, the Russian Emergencies Ministry, the Russian Federal Security Service, and the Council of Commanders of the CIS Border Troops, representatives of Armenia, Belarus, Kazakhstan, Kyrgyzstan and Tajikistan.
