Tajik Judokas to Attend Tashkent Grand Slam

DUSHANBE, 03.03.2021 (NIAT Khovar) – On March 5-7, Uzbekistan will host the International Judo Tournament — Tashkent Grand Slam — 2021, which will also be attended by Tajik judokas.
Tajikistan will be represented by 14 athletes, including Abumuslim Kayumzoda and Shahboz Saidabrorov (-60 kg), Bahrom Sufiev, Alijon Safaraliev (-66 kg), Somon Mahmadbekov, Behruz Khojazoda (-73 kg), Akmal Murodov, Khaknazar Nazarov (-81 kg), Komronshoh Ustopiriyon (-90 kg), Saidjalol Saidov (-100 kg), Rahmon Mansur (100 kg), Temur Rahimov, and Shakarmamad Mirmamadov (+100 kg) among men, and Shohida Kalandarova (-63 kg ) among women.
A total of 547 wrestlers from 78 countries are expected to participate in the Tashkent Grand Slam.
In addition to medals and Olympic points, winners will receive $5,000, $3,000 and $1,500 each for the first, second and third places.
Athletes will have the opportunity to earn points by participating in competitions and improve their positions in the Olympic rankings by June. The International Judo Federation will announce the final Olympic rankings on June 28, and the top 22 in each weight category will qualify for the Tokyo Olympics.
