Dushanbe Hosts a Meeting of the CSTO Council of Defense Ministers Today

DUSHANBE, 27.04.2021 (NIAT Khovar) – Today in Dushanbe, a meeting of the Council of Defense Ministers of the Collective Security Treaty Organization (CSTO) will take place under the chairmanship of the Tajik Minister of Defense Sherali Mirzo.
The meeting will be attended by the Ministers of Defense of Belarus, Kazakhstan, the Kyrgyz Republic, Russia, with the participation of a representative of the Ministry of Defense of Armenia, Secretary General of the CSTO Stanislav Zas, and Chief of the CSTO Joint Staff Anatoly Sidorov.
The meeting participants will discuss the challenges and threats of the modern world and the situation in various regions of the CSTO member states and measures to neutralize them, as well as issues of developing the military component of the organization, which, taking into account the realities of today, are of particular importance.
The ministers will also consider the draft decision of the CSTO Collective Security Council on the time and place of the next meeting of the Council of Defense Ministers and the standard structure of the Command of the Collective Rapid Reaction Force, tested during the command post training and finalized taking into account the results of domestic coordination.
