DUSHANBE, 29.04.2021 (NIAT Khovar) – Today, at 10:45, during the conflict between the residents of the Somoniyon settlement of Isfara and the residents of the Kok-Tash settlement of the Batken district, Kyrgyz citizens opened fire from towards Tajik citizens. As a result, a Tajik citizen, 32-year-old Okil Amakov was wounded in the head and taken to the Isfara central hospital. Amakov’s condition is assessed as grave.
Also at 11:30, as a result of shelling from the Kyrgyz side, 32-year-old Tajik citizen Sattor Samadov was injured. Samadov received multiple wounds in the arm and leg, and was taken to the Isfara central hospital.
This conflict began on April 28 at 16:00 at the site of the Golovnaya water distribution point located in the upper reaches of the Isfara River near the village of Khojai Alo of Isfara, where the Kyrgyz citizens began throwing stones at Somoniyon settlement residents, as a result of which seven Tajik citizens received injuries of varying severity.
