Tajikistan and Russia Sign an Agreement on the Creation of a Unified Regional Air Defense System

DUSHANBE, 27.04.2021 (NIAT Khovar) – Today, on the sidelines of the meeting of the CSTO Council of Defense Ministers, Minister of Defense Sherali Mirzo met with the Russian Minister of Defense Sergei Shoigu.
The meeting focused on military and military-technical cooperation between the two countries, the fight against global threats and dangers, ensuring regional security, the situation in the neighboring Afghanistan, and strengthening the protecting the state border between Tajikistan and Afghanistan.
Following the meeting, Mirzo and Shoigu signed an agreement between Tajikistan and Russia on the creation of a unified regional air defense system.
