Tajik Athlete Will Participate in 2020 Paralympic Games

DUSHANBE, 19.08.2021 (NIAT Khovar) – Akmal Kadyrov will represent Tajikistan in the 16th Paralympic Games in athletics shot put, the National Olympic Committee reports.
Akmal will be accompanied by his coach Zokirjon Komilov and the head of the delegation Siyavush Ilyasov.
The 16th Paralympic Games will be held from August 24 through September 5 in Tokyo.
The Paralympic Games program includes 22 sports such as archery, athletics, badminton, bocce, kayaking, canoeing, cycling, horseback riding, football, goalball, judo, powerlifting, rowing, shooting, volleyball, swimming, table tennis, taekwondo, triathlon, wheelchair basketball, wheelchair fencing, wheelchair rugby, and wheelchair tennis.
Over 4,000 athletes from 136 National Paralympic Committees will compete for 540 medals.
