Macron: Tajikistan Is a Real Crossroads of Civilization

DUSHANBE, 14.10.2021 (NIAT Khovar) – Paris and Dushanbe will soon celebrate the 30th anniversary of the establishment of diplomatic relations. This was noted by the French President Emmanuel Macron while speaking to journalists together with the President of Tajikistan Emomali Rahmon before the start of the top level talks.
According to the French leader, relations between the two countries are “marked by trust.”
Macron stressed that President Emomali Rahmon’s visit was marked by the opening of a large archaeological exhibition called Tajikistan — the Land of Golden Rivers.
“This is an amazing exhibition about a thousand-year-old civilization, which we will open today at the Museum of Oriental Art in Paris,” he said.
According to him, this exposition confirms that Tajikistan is a real crossroads of civilizations.
Macron added that the exhibition was the result of many years of work by French and Tajik archaeologists and museum curators.
