Tajikistan and Russia Discuss Cooperation in the Fight Against Drug Trafficking

DUSHANBE, 18.12.2021 (NIAT Khovar) – On December 16 in Moscow, Director of the Drug Control Agency Habibullo Vohidzoda met with the Russian Deputy Minister of Internal Affairs of Andrei Khrapov.
The meeting focused on important issues of bilateral and multilateral cooperation in the fight against drug trafficking and regional security.
They also discussed a draft agreement between the Tajik Drug Control Agency and the Russian Ministry of Internal Affairs on cooperation and assistance to the agency in the fight against the trafficking of illicit drugs, psychotropic substances and their precursors for 2022-2024, which is under consideration by the parties.
Khrapov expressed the readiness of the his ministry to sign the agreement.
