CCTV Broadcasts a Video on Cooperation Between China and Tajikistan

DUSHANBE, 05.01.2021 (NIAT Khovar) – On the eve of the 30th anniversary of the establishment of diplomatic relations between China and Tajikistan, the Chinese Central Television (CCTV) showed a video about cooperation between the two countries.
The three minute-long video containing informational material already has more than 300,000 views on the CCTV website.
China was one of the first to recognize Tajikistan’s independence. The video notes that mutual trust lies at the heart of the Chinese-Tajik comprehensive strategic partnership.
Tajikistan was the first to sign a memorandum of understanding with China to jointly promote the creation of the Silk Road Economic Belt. A joint committee for cooperation has been created, and a number of major landmark joint projects are being implemented.
The launch of the Yovon-Vahdat railway tunnel connected the railways of Tajikistan from north to south.
The completion of the construction of a 500 kW power transmission line in the districts of republican subordination has increased the stability and safety of the power grid in the northern Tajikistan.
Successfully implemented projects, including a cement plant, an oil refinery, an agrarian textile industrial park, and a mining and metallurgical industrial park, have become a new driver on the road to the industrialization of Tajikistan.
China is the largest investor and main trading partner of Tajikistan. The trade turnover between China and Tajikistan is expected to exceed $3 billion in the coming years. Practice shows that China and Tajikistan together open the way to complementarity, joint development and prosperity.
CCTV is a Chinese state-owned television company with a network of 50 channels and is accessible to over one billion viewers in six different languages.
