Tajik Interior Ministry Assisted in Neutralizing Three Terrorist Sleeping Cells in Russia

DUSHANBE, 03.02.2022 (NIAT Khovar) – Three terrorist sleeping cells were identified and neutralized in Russia due to information received from the Ministry of Internal Affairs of Tajikistan. This was announced at a press conference on Wednesday by the Minister of Internal Affairs Ramazon Rahimzoda.
“As a result of joint activities, we sent three reports to the Russian Ministry of Internal Affairs regarding terrorist sleeping cells in Russia, and according to our information, they carried out operational search activities, as a result of which more than 13 members of terrorist and extremist criminal groups consisting of not only Tajik citizens, but also that of other republics,” he said.
According to Rahimzoda, members of these groups were trained in Syria and Iraq and returned to the territory of CIS countries, including Russia.
“We systematically carry out joint work on the exchange of information, detention, study of experience of detention of terrorist groups that are located in CIS countries,” Rahimzoda explained.
