Tajikistan and UN Office of Counter-Terrorism Discuss Ways of Expanding Cooperation

DUSHANBE, 22.04.2022 (NIAT Khovar) – Today at the UN Headquarters in New-York, the Prosecutor General of Tajikistan Yusuf Rahmon met with the UN Under-Secretary-General, head of the UN Office of Counter-Terrorism Vladimir Voronkov.
The parties exchanged views on the implementation of the National Strategy for Combating Terrorism and Extremism for 2021-2025, as well as on the issues of security threats and challenges.
The meeting also focused on ways of expanding cooperation between Tajikistan and the UN Office of Counter-Terrorism, as well as prospects of joint activities within the Dushanbe Process on countering terrorism.
