CSTO Defense Ministers Will Hold Council Meeting Tomorrow

DUSHANBE, 23.05.2022 (NIAT Khovar) – The meeting of the Council of Defense Ministers of the Collective Security Treaty Organization (CSTO) will be held tomorrow.
The meeting will focus on security challenges and threats.
“Tomorrow, a meeting of the CSTO Council of Defense Ministers will be held via videoconference under the chairmanship of the Armenian Minister of Defense Suren Papikyan. Participants will discuss the challenges and threats to the collective security of the CSTO member states,” the CSTO Press Service says.
The meeting is planned to be attended by the defense ministers of Belarus, Kazakhstan, the Kyrgyz Republic, Russia, Tajikistan, the CSTO Secretary General Stanislav Zas and the head of the CSTO Joint Staff Anatoly Sidorov.
They also plan to discuss the plan for the joint training of command and control bodies and formations of forces and means of the collective security system of the CSTO for 2023, draft decisions of the statutory bodies on the joint formation of radiation, chemical and biological protection, and medical support of the CSTO.
The ministers will consider documents related to «improving the command and control of troops (Collective Forces) of the CSTO and draft decisions of the CMO on the basic research organization of the CSTO member states in the field of research on the development of electronic warfare and the basic educational and methodological organization for the training of military personnel.
