DUSHANBE, 23.05.2022 (NIAT Khovar) – “Today, our youth is considered a true and real support, hope and pride of society and the Tajik state. The role and contribution of young people to the development of the political, economic and social spheres of the country is very tangible and valuable,” said President Emomali Rahmon in his message on the occasion of Youth Day of Tajikistan.
He stressed that only the countries that pay due attention to the problems of youth and mobilize their rich intellectual and physical potential in the right and creative direction can achieve true and long lasting results.
Given this, the government attaches great importance to youth as the leading force of the state.
In order to support young people, form and promote a healthy lifestyle among them, ensure the employment of this active layer of society, find and support new talents, protect the rights and interests of the younger generation, in May 1997, by the governmental decree, the Committee for Youth Affairs was established, and May 23 was declared Youth Day.
