Tajikistan Receives 241,920 Doses of Moderna Vaccine

DUSHANBE, 27.05.2022 (NIAT Khovar) – In order to prevent COVID-19 and to immunize the population, on May 25 Tajikistan received 241,920 doses of the Moderna vaccine as part of the Emergency Project to Combat COVID-19 (TEC-19).
The vaccines are being stored in a special warehouse of the Ministry of Health and Social Protection of the Population and will be delivered to cities and districts as needed.
According to the decision of the Republican COVID-19 Prevention Commission, vaccination against coronavirus infection is mandatory for citizens over 18 years of age.
Currently, Tajik citizens are vaccinated against coronavirus with Sputnik V, AstraZeneca, CoronaVac, Moderna, and Pfizer vaccines.
The vaccine is provided free of charge to citizens.
