DUSHANBE, 13.06.2022 (NIAT Khovar) – Today, as part of the operational-search activities and according to the testimony of the accused Ayombekov Tolib Abdurahmonovich, born in 1966, who served as the leader of the organized criminal group in the Khlebzavod settlement of Khorug, in the presence of witnesses and his son Abdurahmonov Asanali Tolibovich, in his personal home located on A. Ayombekov Street 58, a large amount of weapons and ammunition was seized, reports the Press Center of the Interdepartmental Staff for Security and Public Order in the Gorno-Badakhshan Autonomous Region (GBAO).

The items include six Kalashnikov AK-74 assault rifles with 15 magazines and 450 rounds of 7.62 mm caliber, a RPG anti-tank grenade launcher with eight shots, seven levers and a grenade launcher belt.

Additionally, on the basis of the testimony of the accused Gulobov Niyozsho Aslishoevich, the leader of the organized criminal group of the Gulobod microdistrict of Khorug, born in 1982, also confirmed by his nephew Aslan Gulobov, 15 Kalashnikov AK 74 assault rifles, caliber 7.62 mm with 11 magazines were seized from the front side of a residential building located on S. Abdurahmon Street 92.

Tolib Ayombekov, Niyozsho Gulobov and Munavvar Shanbiev were detained on June 11 by law enforcement officers.
