Tajikistan and UN Sign Sustainable Development Cooperation Framework for 2023-2026

DUSHANBE, 08.06.2022 (NIAT Khovar) – Yesterday, Prime Minister Kohir Rasulzoda met with the UN Deputy Secretary General Amina Mohammed.
Rasuzloda noted that as the initiator of the International Decade for Action “Water for Sustainable Development, 2018-2028,” Tajikistan welcomes UN’s contribution toward solving global problems, especially in matters related to the effective management of water resources.
In this context, UN agencies have proven themselves as sustainable partners in advancing the World Water Agenda and accelerating the implementation of the Sustainable Development Goals.

Rasulzoda and the UN Country Coordinator in Tajikistan Sezin Sinanoglu signed the Sustainable Development Cooperation Framework for 2023-2026.
The signed document includes global strategic priorities, such as Sustainable Development Goals, which contributes to the implementation of national goals.
