Tajikistan and Korea Discuss the Implementation of the Green Economy and Digital Economy Projects

DUSHANBE, 24.08.2022 (NIAT Khovar) – The expansion and further development of trade and economic cooperation and investment between Tajikistan and the Republic of Korea were discussed by the Minister of Economic Development and Trade Zavki Zavkizoda and the Korean delegation led by the Special Envoy of the President, member of the National Assembly of the Republic of Korea Suh Byung-soo.
The meeting also focused on the creation of joint production enterprises in Tajikistan, including in free economic zones, as well as the implementation of the Green Economy and Digital Economy projects, the creation of technology parks, digital technologies, the simplification of trade procedures and the introduction of a system e-commerce.
The parties paid particular attention to increasing the export of environmentally friendly goods and products of Tajikistan, such as fruits and vegetables, dried fruits, honey and drinking water.
Zavkizoda proposed, taking into account the possibilities of the Republic of Korea, to attract direct Korean investments in the national economy, expand cooperation in the field of hydropower and create joint manufacturing enterprises, electric vehicles and electrical equipment using modern technologies of Korea.
The parties expressed their readiness to expand mutually beneficial cooperation and implement the identified issues.
