Tajikistan and Saudi Arabia Discuss Combating International Terrorism and Extremism

DUSHANBE, 31.08.2022 (NIAT Khovar) – Prosecutor General of Tajikistan Yusuf Rahmon as part of his working visit to Saudi Arabia met with the Attorney General of this country Saud bin Abdullah Al-Mujib.
The meeting focused on issues of countering international terrorism and extremism, radicalism, human trafficking, drug trafficking, recognition in Saudi Arabia as terrorist some organizations and extremist groups, as well as other manifestations of transnational crime.
In order to implement the agreements reached and formalize them within the framework of international treaties, a Memorandum was signed between the General Prosecutor’s Office of Tajikistan and the Public Prosecution of Saudi Arabia on cooperation in the field of combating terrorism, its financing, legalization (laundering) of proceeds from crime, and related basic crimes (predicate crimes).
