Over 400 Buses Jointly Produced by Turkiye and Tajikistan Serve Dushanbe Residents

DUSHANBE, 24.09.2022 (NIAT Khovar) – Over 400 buses produced by Turkiye and Tajikistan are in rotation in Dushanbe. This was said by Suleyman Tunali, representative of Akia in Dushanbe in an interview with the Anadolu agency.
He noted that in 2017 Turkiye produced about 200 buses for Tajikistan, and in 2018 the foundation stone of the enterprise was laid in Dushanbe.
“President Emomali Rahmon took part in the ceremony of laying the stone in its opening. In February 2019, we started the mass production,” Tunali said.
According to him, as of today, a total of 400 buses have been produced for Dushanbe, including 200 in Turkiye and another 200 in Tajikistan.
Regarding the production of electric buses and trolleybuses, Tunali said that they are negotiating with the closest neighbors of Tajikistan and will continue to work on the sale of buses.
He noted that the production of buses ordered by Sughd and Khatlon regions will be completed soon.
