Tajik U-20 Football Team Preparing for Asian Cup 2023 Qualifiers

DUSHANBE, 06.09.2022 (NIAT Khovar) – The Tajik U-20 football team begun the final stage of their preparation for the qualifying tournament of the Asian Cup 2023, which will be held from September 14 through September 18 in Dushanbe.
The extended team includes 25 players, in particular 3 goalkeepers, 8 defenders, 11 midfielders and 3 forwards. The final application will include 23 players.
In Asian Cup qualifiers, the Tajik youth will play in Group I against Singapore (September 14), Lebanon (September 16), and Cambodia (September 18).
All matches will be held at the Dushanbe Central Republican Stadium. The Tajik team’s matches will begin at 20:00 at local time.
Winners of ten qualifying groups and five best teams that are in second places will advance to the Asian Cup 2023, which will be held from March 1 through March 18 next year in Uzbekistan.
