Tajikistan’s State Budget for 2023 Will Reach 37.1 Billion Somoni

DUSHANBE, 02.11.2022 (NIAT Khovar) – The draft Law of Tajikistan «On the State Budget for 2023» and the prospective indicators of the State Budget for 2024-2025 have been adopted. The income of the state budget of Tajikistan for 2023 is provided in the amount of 37.1 billion somoni. This was noted on October 31 at a governmental meeting, which was held under the chairmanship of President Emomali Rahmon.
In the draft law, the revenue is provided in the amount of 37.1 billion somoni, which is 4.1 billion or 12.3% more than in 2022. The expenditure is provided in the amount of 38.1 billion somoni, which is 4.5 billion or 13.03% more than in 2022.
The project proposed for next year was designed to implement the socio-economic policy to ensure the sustainable development of the economy, reduce the impact of negative factors, develop infrastructural areas, and improve the living standard of the population.
President Emomali Rahmon instructed the Ministry of Finance to increase the centralized core funding of the state budget in order to achieve priority strategic goals for the country’s development, implement sectoral and regional development programs, and to expedite the construction and commissioning of anniversary facilities.
“For this, it is important to coordinate and implement a balanced macroeconomic, budgetary, tax, and monetary policy,” he said and set tasks for the government to implement the country’s macroeconomic indicators for the medium term.
This draft law was approved at a meeting of the government and submitted to the Assembly of Representatives.
