Tajik and Azerbaijani Prosecutor General’s Offices Sign a Cooperation Program

DUSHANBE, 17.12.2022 (NIAT Khovar) – A program of cooperation has been signed between the Prosecutor General’s Offices of Tajikistan and Azerbaijan.
From December 15 through December 16, the delegation of Azerbaijan headed by the Prosecutor General Kamran Aliyev was on a working visit to Dushanbe at the invitation of the Prosecutor General of Tajikistan Yusuf Rahmon.
The Prosecutor Generals discussed the issues of countering extremism, international terrorism, drug trafficking, eliminating existing internal risks, sharing mutual experience, as well as establishing bilateral legal cooperation.
The parties also discussed the interaction of the prosecutor’s offices of the countries in the direction of the joint investigation of criminal cases, the adoption of urgent search measures, extradition issues, the provision of legal assistance in criminal cases, the transfer of convicts for further serving their sentences and other important issues of the legal field.
