Tajikistan Ready to Establish Cooperation with International Organizations in the Fight Against Corruption

DUSHANBE, 21.12.2022 (NIAT Khovar) – Tajikistan is ready to establish cooperation with international organizations in the fight against corruption. This was stated by the Director of the Agency for State Financial Control and the Fight against Corruption Sulaimon Sultonzoda in Jeddah at the first ministerial meeting of anticorruption law enforcement agencies of the member states of the Organization of Islamic Cooperation (OIC).
The meeting was held from December 20 through December 21 in order to adopt the Mecca Convention on Cooperation between OIC Anti-Corruption Authorities.
Along with representatives of more than 50 member states, Tajik delegation headed by Sultonzoda took part in the meeting.
Sultonzoda delivered speech on the anti-corruption policy of the country and noted that the fight against corruption is an integral part of the domestic and foreign policy of Tajikistan.
“Our country is ready to establish fruitful cooperation with international organizations and structures that carry out activities in the field of countering this negative phenomenon,” he stressed.
The participants called the meeting a good opportunity to resolve issues of mutual interest in the direction of combating corruption and establishing relations with the relevant bodies of the member states.
