Tajik Trucks Enter China Three Years After Pandemic Outbreak

DUSHANBE, 31.01.2023 (NIAT Khovar) – Tajik trucks entered China three years after the outbreak of the pandemic, reports the Ministry of Transport of Tajikistan.
“After a three-year break due to the spread of the coronavirus, domestic trucks entered China for the first time,” the ministry said in a statement.
Since 2020, Tajik trucks have not been allowed to enter the territory of a neighboring state due to the outbreak of the coronavirus pandemic, and goods have been delivered by Chinese trucks to the border, from where they were reloaded onto domestic trucks, which took more time and money.
As previously reported, on January 8, China lifted major entry restrictions imposed as part of the fight against coronavirus.
Chinese authorities still require foreign nationals to take a COVID-19 test 48 hours before travel, but they are no longer subject to quarantine upon entry.
