Representatives of Tajikistan Will Take Part in the Riyadh International Tourism Exhibition

DUSHANBE, 20.04.2023 (NIAT Khovar) – On April 18, the leadership of the Committee for Tourism Development and the Ambassador of Saudi Arabia to Tajikistan discussed the expansion of cooperation between the two states in the field of tourism.
It was noted that in order to establish high-level cooperation between state bodies in the field of tourism and travel agencies of the parties, it is necessary to sign a document on cooperation as soon as possible. A draft law on cooperation is currently under consideration by Saudi Arabia.
Also, the Ambassador of Saudi Arabia informed about the international tourism exhibition in Riyadh, which is scheduled for May 2023, and called on representatives of Tajikistan to participate in it.
The leadership of the Committee expressed that the representatives of Tajikistan are preparing to participate in this exhibition, and all measures will be taken to present the country’s tourism opportunities.
However, it was proposed to organize a virtual meeting between the relevant tourism authorities of the parties.
The leadership of the Committee informed the Ambassador about the benefits introduced by the government in the field of tourism, including visa exemptions, concessions for investors. It was noted that tourism is always under the close attention of the leadership of the state and the government of Tajikistan.
The meeting also focused on issues related to attracting capital for the development of tourism infrastructure and the implementation of targeted projects.
