Tajik Delegation Attends Korea Customs Week-2023 in Seoul

DUSHANBE, 27.04.2023 (NIAT Khovar) – On April 26, the Head of the Customs Service of Tajikistan Khurshed Karimzoda attended first International Conference on the topic Global Cooperation and Digital Custom, which was held as part of the Korea Customs Week – 2023, reports the Customs Service.
The conference was also attended by the heads and representatives of customs authorities from 75 countries, domestic and foreign entrepreneurs and officials, official delegations, representatives of authoritative financial and international organizations, observers of the World Trade Organization and the World Customs Organization.
The participants of the conference discussed ways to introduce new technologies in customs management, taking into account the latest trends in the field of artificial intelligence, the exchange of information on the detection of illegal goods such as drugs, when building an electronic customs trade system and other important issues.
The conference was chaired by the head of the Korean Customs Service, which provides for the exchange of customs experience and policies of each state, as well as the strengthening of cooperation and solidarity to build a sustainable mutual international trade regime.
Also, on the sidelines of the Korea Customs Week-2023, multilateral agreements are expected to be signed, and the event will enhance the role of customs authorities in reviving trade and solving foreign customs problems related to non-tariff obstacles through business meetings.
Korea Customs Week-2023 will continue until April 28.
