Tajikistan and Iran Strengthen Cooperation in the Joint Fight Against Crime

DUSHANBE, 12.06.2023 (NIAT Khovar) – On June 8, the Prosecutor General of Tajikistan Yusuf Rahmon met with the Prosecutor General of Iran Mohammad Jafar Montazeri.
The meeting focused on issues of cooperation between the bodies of the two states in the field of joint fight against crime.
The parties also discussed the provision of legal assistance in criminal cases, the extradition and transfer of convicts, as well as, taking into account the situation in Afghanistan, the establishment of an effective practice of prompt exchange of information in the field of countering international terrorism and extremism.
