DUSHANBE, 17.07.2023 (NIAT Khovar) – The volume of foreign trade turnover of the Sughd region in January-June 2023 amounted to over $1.35 billion, the volume of imports amounted to $926.2 million, and exports — $424.6 million.

In the first half of 2023, a total of 149,854 tons of ore and concentrate worth $235.8 million, 25,234 tons of cement worth $8.1 million and 22,407 tons of cotton fiber worth $40.2 million were exported by the region.

During this period, 2,077 tons of yarn worth $ 5.3 million and 816 tons of clothing worth $ 12.8 million were released to the foreign market, an increase of $4.0 million and $ 1.8 million, respectively, compared to the same period last year.

In the first half of 2023, 85,185 tons of agricultural products worth $ 18.1 million were exported, including 24,620 tons of dried fruits worth $ 10.1 million.
