CSTO Rescue Departments Strengthen Cooperation on the Prevention and Elimination of Emergency Situations

DUSHANBE, 06.09.2023 (NIAT Khovar) – Yesterday in Minsk, the participants of the 14th meeting of the CSTO Coordinating Council for Emergency Situations paid attention to the issues of scientific and technical support of activities in the field of protecting the population and territories from emergencies and providing multi-level specialized training of personnel.
The meeting, chaired by the Minister of Emergency Situations of Belarus, was attended by a delegation of Tajikistan headed by the Chairman of the Committee for Emergency Situations and Civil Defense Rustam Nazarzoda.
The meeting agenda included a wide range of issues aimed at strengthening the mechanisms of interaction on the prevention and elimination of emergency situations under the auspices of the Organization.
It was provided information on the effectiveness of the implementation of the decisions taken during the 13th meeting, and the main results of the activities of the Coordinating Council for the reporting period, summed up the results of the special exercises of the CSTO rescue units “Rock-2023,” the exercises “Safe Arctic-2023,” and also discussed a plan of joint events for 2024.
The chairmanship of the council for 2024 will pass to the Kazakh side.
