On the morning of September 5, the anti-terrorist group of the State Committee for National Security encircled the location of the militants, strongly demanding that they drop their weapons and surrender.
The terrorists did not respond to this demand and were the first to open fire from their weapons.

1. Bobojonov Zarif Mahmudjonovich (nickname “Usmon”) was born in Kulkand rural community of Isfara, and was one of the leaders of the Jamaat Ansarullah terrorist organization.
2. Bahodurov Farhod Basharovich (nickname “Abu Musab”) was born in Sherbegiyon village of the Safedchashma rural community of Nurobod district.

It should be noted that a criminal case was previously opened against members of this terrorist group under article 401 note 1 (Illegal involvement and participation of citizens of the Republic of Tajikistan and stateless persons in armed units, armed conflict or military actions on the territory of other states) of the Criminal Code of Tajikistan, all of them were wanted.
These are not the first attempts by members of the Ansarullah terrorist organization to destabilize the situation in Tajikistan. Earlier, on April 26 this year, 2 members of this organization illegally crossed the line of the Tajik-Afghan state border at the Dashti Yazgulom section of the Vanj district in order to commit a terrorist act. As a result of the anti-terrorist operation, the terrorists were neutralized.
The analysis and evaluation of the available reliable data indicates that these terrorist acts were purposefully planned by the special services.
These terrorist groups under the leadership of these structures have undergone combat training. They were provided with military equipment, explosives, and finances.
A criminal case has been initiated on this fact, as well as operational-search and investigative measures are being carried out.
